TaskFamily

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

TaskFamily is built for families, which means it is built for children too. We collect as little as possible, we never sell data, we show no ads and we do not track children across the web.

What we collect

Parents: name, email, a securely hashed password, family name, country, timezone and currency. Children: a first name or nickname, an emoji avatar, an optional birth year (used only to adapt the design to their age) and a hashed PIN. We never ask children for an email address, phone number, photo or location. Activity: the assignments, points, rewards and awards your family creates.

Payments

Premium subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details - we only keep a Stripe customer reference and your subscription status.

AI features

Optional AI features (task ideas, quizzes and coach's notes) send only what is needed - such as a child's first name, age, task titles or monthly totals - to our AI provider to generate a response. This data is not used for advertising. Parents can turn quizzes off in Settings.

Cookies

We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in and one to remember your family code on a child's device. No advertising or analytics cookies.

Children's privacy (COPPA, GDPR-K and similar laws)

Children's profiles can only be created by a parent or legal guardian who has an account and has agreed to this policy. Parents can review, change or delete their children's information at any time from the app.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can access, correct, export or permanently delete your family's data. Deleting your family in Settings removes every parent, child and activity record immediately.

Security

All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS. Passwords and PINs are stored as salted bcrypt hashes. Access to the database is restricted to the application server.
